You dont' see many AWD 1g talons in Canada.
I want one with no options, but that would be a hard find.

Hey,
You want a Talon huh? Good choice! Heh.. I'm surprised I'm the first DSM guy to jump in on thid thread.... anyway.
That Talon you just posted would probably be one I'd stay away from. Too much mileage, plus $3800 probably reflects the shape its in.
To be honest, a fair price for a good AWD turbo 1G would be probably in the $5000 range. I'm gonna be a little biased when I suggest that you should look at a Laser when considering a Talon but thats because I own one but belive me they are the exact same car as well as the Eclipse(States only )
The Laser is FWD only and I know you said you wanted an AWD drive so the choicre is yours, but Lasers are generally $1000-1500 cheaper. Just some thoughts to consider...
I don't know if you care but I love bragging about my car....
I bought it for $4350 with full exhaust(minus the downpipe and manifold) and no cat . It also had 138,000km and all the free mods done to it (i.e. - hacked aircan, removed honeycomb, etc). I ran it at race city and got a 15.2@89mph, Now I've got a 16g with crappy motomaster tires that have no traction and ran a 14.9@96mph ( I know, excuses ). But thats just an example of whats out there and what you can find if you know what to look for.
Anyways I'll post up somew 1g DSM Talon/Laser/Eclipse pics:
I personally can't stand the cars DSMs.
.. but if anyone wants a very clean one, my friend is selling his:

And my car....
I'd also suggest www.dsmtalk.com www.ca.dsm.org http://groups.yahoo.com/group/cadsm/
One more, here's my friends Laser...
I want one too but it would be too tempting to go into rally (which is 2 or more times $$ than my summer "hobby"...)
One of the first cars I wanted buy if insurance wasn't $3000.
I wanted a DSM but i hear that the engines go bad after 200 kms?
91 Mustang GT
99 Acura 1.6 el
all i have to say , cracked head.
the way i figure, a front drive turbo car, and an awd turbo car, makes it the best of both worlds.

Talons are reliable if they're well taken care of. I've got over 135K on my stock motor and it sees all types of driving.
There are plenty of 1G AWDs around
Lasers were available as AWD from 92-94, if you're looking for a car with fewer options a Laser AWD is it.
people who live in calgary, anyone know whos drives that champign color lowered talon that parks at the market mall every week? just curious..

There's a guy in the CADSM Club selling his '91 Turbo Laser for pretty cheap - turbo's blown. (Yes, Mark's.)
Can't go wrong with AWD! Good luck with your hunt!
'92 Eagle Talon TSi
'92 Mazda RX-7 Efini
'01 Audi S4 Quattro
You want 1G's? We got 'em...

There's nothing more that I like than a clean 90-91 Talon (with a fmic of course) That would be Darko's Talon form the canadian DSM board.Originally posted by finboy

I love those wheels, there off the 97+ TSI and they're 17's. I think he's selling them for with rubber for something like $650. Damn I wish I wasn't broke
