Default Using hose clamp/barb connection with AN hose

Magic 8 ball says this will not work in a cooling line (although to its credit it did last an entire year with a defective rad (perpetual hot spot that must have been slowing coolant flow down like crazy)

I've done it on fuel lines etc. and never had a problem for years.

those barb'd fittings you talk about are for special push-lok hose. Not recommended for regular heater hose or stainless braided. Stainless braided requires the other type of fitting to fully seal.

This was just a case of it ain't going to work, hah.

Although I did get Chris (revhard) to make me a kickass piece to take its place - one end is -10, one end is flared for heater hose

Feels good to replace something ghetto with something shiny.
