I'd like to buy a small television to display my PS3. Can you get a 1080 television in a 13-19 inch?

1080p is useless on TV's less than 50", let alone 19".
480" is good enough at that size.
I have an 15" LG for sale that does 720p
let me know if your interested
Yeah, who needs anything with that much resolution in such a relatively small size? I would say... everyone in the first world using a computer???Originally posted by black13

I can notice big differences between a 32" 720p and a 24" 1080p (xbox 360 game)... maybe just the quality between the LCDs...
Back to OP... I think you can find 22" LCD monitors that can do 1080p with HDMI. Dell ones are good and my buddy got one 24" for $180 from one of those Dell day sales.
probably meant 480res not inchesOriginally posted by evoXfan

I have a BenQ E2200HD that I use for my PS3, it's native 1080 and uses HDMI
The newer version, the E2220HD, has 2 HDMI inputs and a slightly improved backlight. I can say, however, that when a 1080p game goes in (Final Fantasy XIII), it looks incredible. I'm talking jaw droppingly good.
Now if only my 30 inch monitor had HDMI inputs :\

If you already got a 5.1 speaker system, you should just get an lcd monitor
Do you know how small things would be on that screen? How do you figure you'd fit over 1000 lines of resolution in a space smaller than 13 inches? You wouldn't even fit all the required pixes on the screen.

Jesus man, I know you like Transformers, but you need to get out more. No one should get this upset over a movie based on children's toys.
why not just get a dvi-hdmi cable?Originally posted by Vagabond142

im saying connect your ps3 to youe 30" using hdmi-dvi.Originally posted by Vagabond142
Because the monitor has an HDMI input?
on 2nd thought.. I dont think the ps3 does that.
i run my ps3 to my 37" with components but PC to LCD I run dvi-hdmi
It's clearly the difference in quality between LCDs. The human eye cannot begin to see differences in 1080p vs. 720p until you start getting to 46"+ Even then, the brand quality has more influence on the display than the resolution.Originally posted by evoXfan

Do you really need to whip out a chart from 2006? 1080p is the norm these days for LCDs. Even 32" ones have 1080p now. Just go with what you are happy with.Originally posted by Weapon_R

just because the chart is from 2006 doesn't mean that the human eye has changed..Originally posted by evoXfan

that said, when people say that you won't see a difference under 46", they don't take into account that people will likely sit closer to small screens (<27"), like computer displays. and as such, higher res would actually be noticeable.
when you're sitting at living room distance (10ft), yeah, it won't be noticeable.
Basically I'm looking to display a PS3 on a small television or monitor, with good resolution. I'll be sitting about three feet from the screen so I don't need anything too big.
