So I got accepted to U of C to get my BComm next fall and will be needing a laptop. I've decided on the Asus UL30VT, because it apparently gets 11.5 hours battery life, is thin and light, has HDMI for 1080p output to my LCD TV and basically just looks awesome.
Anyway, heres the thing, on Amazon.com, the laptop is $729.99, which is a very good price on this particular model. Yet despite the US and Canadian dollar being very close to parity right now, on Amazon.ca the exact same laptop is $879.99. Now obviously a $150 difference is worth it to try and order the notebook from Amazon.com, have it shipped to a US address and either pick it up myself, or have them ship it to Canada.
Anyone know of any places I can ship the notebook to? any advice on how I can go about doing this and not have the $150 cost difference be eaten up just getting the laptop back to Canada?
Thanks!
