    Default Enbridge

Does anyone here work at Enbridge? most particularly the Oil accounting/feeder pipelines group? A friend is looking into a position there and wants to know how the culture is compared to his work right now.

He is comfortable at his place of work right now but hates the culture and treatment.

    Thanks

I've done some work for them before and they always seemed like a good company. But that is work in the field.

I'd like to know as well. I've got an interview with them next week, but I'm curious about advancement opportunities, culture and such beforehand. I could also ask them during the interview, but I feel like companies will tell you what they think you want to hear when you ask them these things.

I used to work there and it is good company, rather conservative (dress code etc) but overall good environment to work for. pretty good benefits.

I'm not even really sure to be honest. Its a pretty entry level position, in Facilities Management. But this position reports to Optimization and Accounting if that means anything. Do you currently work there lint?

What do you mean conservative dress code, as in more laid back, or more suit?
I'm debating whether I should wear a full suit to the interview tomorrow, or whether I can get away with shirt tie and sweater over top.

I mean suit and tie everyday but Friday, Friday, no tie. My advice, wear full suit.

    Bump.... to an Old post.

I've been reading mixed comments about enbridge on indeed and glassdoor.

    "suit and tie company"
    "not competitive on salary"
    "they pay very well"
    "disorganized"

looking for some insight from somebody working there now, with the "approval" that just happened, should be a good prospect to work here?

looking at an engineering position in calgary.

    - work culture?
    - benefits, ie. time off, flexdays, health packages, pension
    - salary
    - advancement opportunity

    TIA

Not even inter-office. People in the same damn department are wetting their groins with company ink.

I hear one guy even lives with his desk-mate.

Then what happens when somebody hotter comes along? You've screwed yourself.

Especially if the hotter one is in the office as well.

I've heard the corporate culture can be pretty stuffy, but otherwise a decent place to work.

The IT department is really toxic there. It will always be someone elses problem, people are great at pointing fingers at someone / anyone else.
