So my car was broken into

2 Years to the month, and my car was broken into yet again at Brentwood (I need to stop parking there).
Passenger side window was smashed out, console was ripped apart, and my Alpine AVI-W205 deck w/ my docking nav and bypass unit were stolen.
Please keep your eyes out for one. It's recognizable (while turned on) because the faceplate doesn't go to the bottom, and it has a custom black/orange sonic the hedgehog background.

Tell me you didnt leave your deck in your car... That much electronics showing in a car would entice anyone to smash your window in...

To park a car hells yes. Maybe its cause im not from around there... But the areas just not my kinda place. I wouldnt feel good leaving my car in that area for any long periods of time.

Brentwood is sketch as hell to park in. Parents car got broken into before and it got hit by another stolen car too.

Both Brentwood AND Panorama (Even though there's a police station right next to the parking).
When I use to take the bus to school, I'd always see around 20 cars with smashed windows at least once every two weeks.

ahh, i've never actually parked at the train station, so i guess i don't know anything about that. but i've worked at the university since 2001, and have to say that the neighborhood is one of the cleaner and safer areas of the city IMO.

I'm always paranoid to park in C-train lots. That's a reason I use to justify not taking transit.

Was the car parked overnight? Or was it smashed during the day?

It's been a while since I've been into ICE but I know that some double dins have small removable face plates. If not the whole face, then just a small section.

Car was parked from 10:20am - 8:40pm.
There was a note from someone saying that it wasn't broken when they arrived at 2:50pm, but it was broken when they got back at 6:50pm

So it happened within that 4 hour time span.

Stuff like this really pisses me off.

Piece of shit low life people with nothing better to do then damage other peoples things for petty gains. They all deserve to get curb-stomped....exact same situation with people who vandalize other peoples property.

What you need to do is take a whole day and sit at the train station with your car there and a few hundred dollars sitting on the seat with a few friends watching. When someone shows up kick the living fuck out of them.

The worst part is they raised ticket prices and parking prices at the LRT stations because they "wanted to increase security"... absolute bullshit if you ask me, I've never seen any security riding the trains or in the parking lots.

Do you guys not take off the cover on your decks? I have an LCD screen in my car and I made a cardboard fake radio cover to put over my LCD just to avoid situations like this.
