Just before 12:30 p.m. Calgary Police were called out to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of 114 Ave and 40 St S.E. The injured, the lone occupant of a 3/4 ton cube van, man was transported to hospital by EMS as a result of the accident. The van struck a Ford F550 truck with two occupants inside; neither man was injured in the crash.

Two east bound traffic lanes on 114 Ave S.E. have been rerouted by police to 42 St S.E. Police expect the lane restrictions to remain in effect for several hours to accommodate the investigation.
