i am trying to use my own custom made maps in my Toyota NKCN d59 nav system. does anyone know the file format of the maps read by these nav systems, or any nav system.all in all, how does one input custom maps into proprietery naz systems?

Does the system have a serial port?
Most of the auto GPS are based upon either the Magellan or GARMIN gps. Both of these systems have their own proprietary format for their base maps.
