Default 2011 Federal election predictions and results

Discuss the results and post predictions here.

I see another Conservative minority government with the NDP as the official opposition.

    Conservative 148 seats
    Liberals 60 seats
    NDP 61 seats
    Bloc 39 seats
    Green 0 seats

    Going with 59% voter turnout

If New Brunswick is a sign of things to come, looks like the NDP-Lib vote splitting could result in big things for the CPC in Ontario.

The next couple hours will be very interesting.

Michael Ignatieff will be resigning in the morning. First 3rd place loss since confederation, loss of official opposition status and the NDP more than doubles the amount of seats won by the Liberals.

Thank god. If there's one thing I wanted out of this election it's Ignatieff out the door. Trade Iggy!

Giles Duceppe possibly preparing a resignation speech as of now. Projected loss of 37 or 38 seats. Shows exactly where the separatist movement stands these days.

Sorry ZenOps, Rob Anders has been re-elected.

And Jack Layton has managed to do something that Harper was never able to do...give the Cons a majority

Ignatieff AND Duceppe might not win their own ridings...Holy shit.

Imagine if those two lose and Elizabeth May wins her riding.

Holy eff this is insane. Liberals got whooped! 2 party leaders might not even be elected. Is this really happening? So much for more of the same.

Looks like a conservative majority, if not it will be a very strong minority government with an NDP opposition. I'm fine with either situation.

Liberals spanked. BQ tossed out, with their official party status in question. Conservative Majority declared.

The Traitor and the American both lost in their own ridings. NDP official opposition. The only thing I could wish for differently is that the Green won some ridings.

Majority gubbment time. I'm not quite sure if I like this or not yet.

Quite surprised to see the NDP so far up there. People must really dislike Ignatieff

This is a beautiful day. Where's Gainsbarre? Where's Broken_Legs? This is excellent.
