So I went from 8.80 to 9.05

This is a major reason why so many young people are unemployed.

I suppose this means retail & food/beverage price hikes are on the way... which usually accompanies a minimum wage increase.
Out here in BC, the minimum is going to $9.50 on November 1st and then $10.25 on May 1, 2012.
