I'd mail them a box of 200,000 pennies
Talk to Zenops, I am positive he knows where to get them in bulk

To Telus, you are just an account with some balance owing, which I am sure they deal with on a regular basis.
They (CC&SS reps) used to rip off those living on Reservations like MAD by telling them they were getting free phones and then dating the addition of the code in CRIS to be just after the billing cycle so it wouldn't show up for nearly two months.
Reps used to call it the "Native Special". It was a dirty way to get 'free commission' by ripping off 'Nates, knowing that their accounts would just go to Collections to have to sort out (these were crazy $400 Meridian sets that were being sent out).

Been beat to death elsewhere on Beyond, maximum one can pay in pennies in Canada under the Currency Act (link) is 25 cents.
A post dated check can be cashed before the date written on it. I've had this happen a few times.Originally posted by Spoons
Lifes a bitch and then you die. I've grown tried of it already, but I still want to make this difficult. I get I think 25 free cheques a year, in which I NEVER use. I think I will be writing them 25 cheques for the amount each post dated on date after another.
Whatever I know the amount of shady business practices and shit systems that Telus deals with, as well as how they are truly doing somethings. I also know some VERY privy details on certain practices that I don't think they think I know about it.
Would be an awful shame if someone was to blow something... I think it would be a whistle but I'm not sure

A retailer can also determine what they take as acceptable forms of tender - a retailer doesn't have to take cash in the form of Bank of Canada notes or coinage.Originally posted by Sugarphreak
Still leaves the door wide open to shenanigans; firstly that criteria still allows for payments up to $80.25 consisting of 180 coins. Still more than enough to annoy somebody, also if they reject it you can wave that act in their face.
Secondly, that still only applies to single transactions. So if OP is willing to put the time in, he gets himself 200,000 pennies and then makes 800 separate payments. Problem with that is they would know the denomination of each package, thus improving efficency of processing it... so you are better off putting random amounts of change into each payment.
So long as it is posted. Can't just decide on the spot that you aren't going to take that $50 or $100 bill.Originally posted by speedog

@Sugarphreak, the OP owes $200. That's 20,000 pennies.
See Crank. See Crank Walk. Walk Crank Walk.
Just pay them then $80.25 in coins, $75 in $5's and the rest in 2 cheques, drawn on two different accounts. Make sure to back date the cheques so they become stale-dated within 5 days of them getting them.

I'm going to find each and every one of your little internet friends!
I now feel like I went into shock. I started breathing heavily and lost my sense of what was going on.

So just an update:
My best friend (as well as his family are very good family friends) father was in charge of renewing their entire Telus contract for there business cell phones with Telus. Guess who asked for their advice on if he should renew with Telus as Rogers was giving them just a slightly better deal, but he was willing to stay with Telus due to loyalty.
That being said, Telus lost their entire Shell account due to me. This was a big account. I mentioned this in my letter with the payment I sent them (I stressed that this was not due to slander in anyway shape or form, I just suggested that I was with Rogers for my cell phone and I liked their customer service). The HR rep could probably give two shits, but I feel accomplished.
Like I said, cost me 190 dollars, I will make you pay much more.
Thanks Telus. I forever will never EVER use a single one of their services.... Except for TV... Because I am bound by a contract... But I swear to god after these 3 years...
Please do explain how you would pay a bill online with physical pennies?Originally posted by Dilmah

^ Do you feel all warm and fuzzy inside?
I know, I know. But any more work out of this just isn't worth my time. It was easier enough to send a little letter in with my payment.
They will never know how they lost that account, but I will, and that really is all that matters.
I think Walter Sobchuk said it the best, "You obviously do not know who you are fucking with."

I work for a large Oil n Gas and I can't even change my brand of pencil without going through a whole bid process. And you’re trying to tell us Shell changed their whole phone plan with a phone call from a dude who didn’t like the way you were treated?
Certainly not Shell as a whole, Shell locally or an entire Shell Project. Shell is one of the clients of the company I work for and their Blackberry services have been with Telus and have no plans to change at all. Could be wrongOriginally posted by darthVWader
