Hopefully there is some follow up once Traffic Cop has his way with this guy.
See Crank. See Crank Walk. Walk Crank Walk.
I don't venture into the NE often, but when I do, there always seems to be some comedy.
Guy decides the red light is optional. Karma gets him by having the sun blind him and forcing him to drive onto the C-train tracks. He tried backing out, but to no avail. haha.

^^ Haha, I've seen that a few times over there, long ago when I lived over there. Right up there with bus trap catches
Enjoy!
The problem with Bow -> Crowchild with the 10th/12th Ave traffic coming in on a yield (1:44 in the vid), is that Calgarians are way too nice and treat that as a merge during rush hour. So regulars typically try to merge in there when they should be yielding when it's free flowing.

I don't let people in there, I'm in a semi most of the time at that now intersection and people just pull in front of me regardless. I hate people.
Nice video Jro!
Looking around
Wondering what became
Of what I once knew
I've seen one or 2 of the clips in his video before. I'm guessing it's a compilation of other Calgary vids that he's found.Originally posted by 16hypen3sp

Justice for Dan!
Hey,
They are all our clips. The two crash clips were posted as separate videos.

Yup. Need statement and copy of videoOriginally posted by 01RedDX
You guys have to wait for the owner of the video to make a formal complaint, right? I understand there's reasons for that but still, in the interest of public safety, it would be good to send the guy a message that his actions were unacceptable. I mean the incident, the driver and the license plate are all crystal clear.

I was dumbfounded by the Land Rover one. Not because of the crash, but because they moved off the road right away. Nobody in Calgary does that - they seem to think that CSI is going to come out and do a reconstruction investigation of their $300 fender-bender.
And the student driver - you don't know if someone didn't pass their test, unless you know how much money exchanged hands before the drive.......
Haha, love your comments. The rear-ender was about 14K of damage to our car (Cadillac). But was probably 13K in profit for the seallershipOriginally posted by 120Comm

I definitely need to drive more defensively there.. One night after a Flames game, a woman in an Outback came flying out of that yield sign; didn't even bother slowing down OR looking.Originally posted by rage2

You have a couple of photos that are great... you must be very good at photoshop!
It's a blind spot in that position too because they're going uphill, and mirrors or shoulder check will only see the barrier. You really need to stop and yield there, but nobody does it.Originally posted by clem24

My defensive driving there is to go 100+, that way you're faster than the people coming up from the right and be ahead of them. Bonus is the corner leading to that point is damn fun, especially if you use the "racetrack curb" haha. No room for cops to stop after the apex so it's nice and safe to go pretty quick.

One time during rush hour, instead of alternating, the asian old man from the 10ave side just engaged sling shot with the guy in front. I honked once, no reaction. Then gave it a long one, no reaction neither. Ok then, I got it. You are old and you are going in regardless.

Well, didn't get a camera recording of it, but saw quite the one today as I was having coffee at sunterra.
Lady driving north on 1st street (one way only - south), narrowly dodge getting smoked by a van, to turn east onto 11th ave (one way only - west) and head on her merry way.
Amazing.
