Default Anyone use DHL Express for deliveries?

Just wondering if international DHL shipments are actually delivered by DHL themselves or if they pawn the shipment off to Canada Post, as is the case with USPS.

Are brokerage fees included in the Express option or am I going to get hit with those as well?

    Thanks

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.

I use DHL all the time, and they are actually great! Beleive it or not, they are actually a huge company. Their shipping network might be one of the biggest. (Yes, they have those yellow vans everywhere!)

Just recieved a package from china VIA dhl. Besides them trying to deliver outside of office hours twice, they were good to deal with. We ended up paying duty..not sure if thats the same thing?

DHL is pretty good and yes they will deliver to your door withoug going to a 2nd party. They bought up Loomis for their Canadian shipping years ago.

DHL is more used/popular in Asia I believe vs UPS/Fedex/Purolator in North America

They are also very popular in Europe. My company is based in Italy, and when they send us parts direct they come DHL, yet we use FEDEX between offices in Canada, and UPS between Canada and US.

i just received two package via dhl express from hong kong. they charged gst + a $10 handling fee when they delivered to my door. had to dig up exact change too, which was a bit of a pain, but the fee was fair. i think canada post is gst plus a $7 handling charge last time i had to pay. canada post seems to forgets to charge it half the time, even if the package is properly declared, or at least it seems to be pretty random.

I don't think DHL would ever hand the shippment off to CP. I wanted them to send me something to a remote area, but they said the best they can do is have it dropped off at the nearest DHL location. So, I'd figure under no circumstance would they hand the package over to another party.

Do any private mail company hand their packages off to government?

Is there a way to see the fees associated with a shipment before it arrives at the door? Would making an account on DHL's website show this information?

DHL takes CC at the door, I've done it many times. They use to write down your CC info but now they have those interac machines.
