Sorry Niels I sent you a note, went today. Great ride and weather. Felt like August
Saw the note - Couldn't get out of work early enough to join you. Hitting up Bragg Creek tomorrow morning for some climbing though.
Proof that there was a Beyond.ca group ride!
Nice, how was the ride?
We shoukd go for a group ride.. I just never met and know anyone yet lol. Also I still struggle with big climbs (sort off) as I am still shedding some weight off. My friend and I will be joining bowcyclist; it would be my first club. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Watch the cat for different holiday hats!
Ya I’d be in if timing works. Like above I realized I suck on climbs too. My one buddy just started riding after taking winter off and lives close to me. Overall when I compare our strava I was 5 min faster than him. But the edworthy climb he was almost a min faster than me. Fk me. Least I know I suck and it’s something I have to work on as a weakness. I smoke him on the flats but I drop off hard going up hils
I'm down later this June-July for a Beyond group ride, just cant this May with a baby on its way
Will probably be riding with the rest of the slow pack too
The ride was excellent. Glorious weather and very little wind. Hammered up westbound on the climb, bombed down the other side, then turned around and hammered the eastbound climb. Definitely burned a lot of matches on that.

If you stay East of the gate the route is pretty forgiving, with only a couple of longer steeper climbs. If you go West of the gate you've got a big climb to the top - 207 meters in 3.47km but it's 7% average for 1.48km. Definitely grunty and most people will need a 34-28 combination to get up it.
Speaking of Edworthy climbs - I'm doing repeats tonight at 7PM if anyone wants to join. Pink helmet, first name is Niels.
I'd be down for a group ride if things line up, too. Probably slower than most of you, but if that's cool then I'd be down!
I ride a matte black roubiax with blue and grey highlights, a leg brace on my left calf/ankle, and usually bearded. Say hi if you see me around!

Yeah, I'd be up for a group ride, though I'd definitely be rolling with Team Slow, that's for sure.
I'm 4 wks from Ironman. In the overbuild / exhausted completely dead legs phase. lol.
But would still be up for a group ride.
I’m back Monday and would join
I'll be part of the Beyond group ride - lollygag ryderz

I know a great place where we can park our bikes and order beer. The patio has wind screen so that our helmet hair doesn’t get ruined.
anyone interested in a ride sunday late morning? i'm gonna go for a triple digit posting... thinking springbank down to bragg then east on 22x up 80 st through glenmore reservoir back into the inner city.
