They are legal, but even a WRX may be over budget, never mind an STi.

why did you even create a thread? all you have mentioned is that you want a 350..... then buy a 350z or anything with that motor, you cleary don't want advice on what to purchase, you want a 350z...wait for one and buy it.
I'm indecisive and easily influenced.
Go test drive an RX8. Definitely not 'high powered' by my definition, but fun as fuck to drive and rev out.

I like RX8s, and often see them very cheap on kijiji... But don't they have catastrophic problems with their engines?
Spend $16K on my Tacoma
that is a good choice. I think everything is going to be okay.Originally posted by Canucks3322
At the top of my list is the Nissan 350Z.

Only when mistreated. I could rant about the matter, but suffice it to say they are great engines when maintained properly. Or you could do what I did, buy one for $1000 with a blown motor, rebuild it yourself for around 3-4k and away you go. Heck, even a Mazda rebuilt motor is only 3k.

^ Cool, very good to know and great idea....that's why I made this thread, thank you sir.
I'd also consider a Lexus GS400/GS430
I know the mileage is high on this one, but it appears to be very well taken care of and might fit the bill as a fun car.

Acura CL-S 6-Speed Manuals are great cars as well, and the TL's of that same time.

The blue Mustang GT for $9200 om kijiji keeps tempting me. Isn't that a forum members car?

Pretty sure it's his. I want itOriginally posted by Cos
Shlade is selling his, not sure if it is the same car though. I thought he was asking more for his.
Addicts.... This thread has been eye opening actually... I've actually decided to just have my Pathfinder till the end of next year when I've paid off my wedding. I don't need a fun car to drive, as long as gas stays cheap, the pathfinder will do..
Good luck. I tried that with my Tacoma and lasted 4 months and now have another car on the way.
Agreed. After having a nice car and a truck, you will really start seeing nice cars around and in no time to u will want another car.
Also to the guy that suggested an rx8, you don't want to go that route. Of the 3 people I know that had them, 1 changed his motor 3 times and the other 2 changed motors twice before getting rid of them and the one is a Mazda Mechanic.
Maintaining these cars doesn't mean shit, I've never seen anyone maintain a car as well as the Mazda Mechanic yet look what happened to him.
Bad advice to get one unless you remove the rotary altogether. But that's just IMO.
I had one of these, sold it nearly 2 years ago for under $7k. Maintained well, 174k on it, incl summer performance tires, as well as winter tires on steelies. I guarantee this car is running like a top still, even if the next owner did nearly no maintenance, it was in fantastic shape. I'm sure OP can get something that fits his needs, but I might hesitate to get a beat to shit 350z haha.Originally posted by Neil4Speed

Whatever you do, don't go spend $4k/year on a lease and think you're getting a better deal
