Anyone into ASMR videos? Another user mentioned these, so I checked it out. I don't think I get the whole "tingle" reaction, but I do find some of them relaxing anyway.
Seems like this is a pretty big subculture. Who's into this? Thoughts?

Im into it in a major way. I listen to it, earbuds in, every night when I'm in camp up north trying to get to sleep. It's awesome. Been listening to it for years now.
Plus there is some serious hotties that do it. Hot women, relaxing, whats not to like? haha
Looking around
Wondering what became
Of what I once knew
Yeah, some super hotties, and that has to be part of it, lol.

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.
Wow, I had to look up mukbang. Not what I expected. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

ASMR is real, I use to experience it in a major way. Found it by accident one day.
When I would drive, and the windows would be rolled down just enough with the right temperature wind I’d get major ASMR. Full on brain, neck tingling and vibrations. It was very surreal. I could move fine, think straight, but my brain didn’t want me to move my head of the back of my neck. Once I turned or shoulder checked or something, it vanished.
Some music tiggers it too, mostly folk metal with celtic type sounds and raspy vocals.
To a lesser degree during haircuts, or having my head scratched etc can trigger it mildly.
"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents... some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new Dark Age."

There's no explanation of what that acronym is and I'm legitimately concerned that it might be Anal Sex Man Rape... So... I'm not searching.
I'm not into that.

Is there a worse genre of YouTube video than "reaction to another YouTube video" style? Gross. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auto...idian_response
I’ve had that before from listening to a wicked good song at the right time or some shit, but just by people whispering shit to me? Weird.
...
I've heard that some ladies like to be whispered to, or to be more precise - they like to be "purred" too. There is no doubt a very pleasing sound that cats make that many find unusually appealing. Many cultures revered cats as gods. (just finished love death + robots)
That men are finally opening up and saying that they find some sounds appealing is not strange.

Cadillac revealed its first-ever CT5 sedan with a social media campaign designed to stimulate the senses using autonomous sensory meridian response, also known as ASMR.
CT5 showcases Cadillac's unique expertise in crafting American performance sedans, with details designed to elevate every drive. Built on an evolution of Cadillac's award-wining RWD/AWD Alpha architecture, the Cadillac CT5 features a standard 2.0L Turbo and available 3.0L Twin-Turbo engine with unique sound calibrations, each paired to a standard 10-speed automatic transmission offering nearly imperceptible shifts.
The driver-centric cockpit inside the Cadillac CT5 blends high tech and high touch for an exceptional blend of control tactility. The new sedan will be offered in Luxury and Sport models, giving customers more choices in appearance and ride character.
The Cadillac CT5 will be built at GM's Lansing Grand River facility, which received an investment of $211 million to build the next-generation Cadillac sedan.
I was like WTF is ASMR then I saw this thread.
Side note, that's the ugliest GM product I have seen in ages.
