Any expert here can tell me how this happened?
See pic
Did they screw up the wall? Or frame or stucco?
That lip blends into the entire wall.
Thanks

It's not the best picture. I'm betting they built the basement out of alignment and they did that funky angle to make the wood framing square.

I say stupid shit all the time.
Concrete's never perfect. It's better than the drywall being hung unsupported to the floor to hide it. Pony wall vs framing is never perfect, neither is ever perfect so there's always some kind of joint issue to address.
I can't even see what's wrong to begin with. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
But whatever it is I'm sure it has a HUGE impact on somebody's day to day life in a 1st world problematic SW (probably Aspen) home lol
You could smooth that out with some mud, then it would stop ruining the lives of everyone who sees it. Unless it's the camera, that paint job looks pretty half-assed with the white specks showing through.
I m just worried that the wall might not be straight?
It don't bother me that much but would like to know how this happened and nobody corrected it during construction.
I think that angles is because they DID correct it.

I agree that it looks like they poured the foundation out of square. The form may not been secured well enough and the concrete was wider at the top.
To me, that looks like shit.
No concern about the wall being straight. Measurements are commonly off.
It still bothers me haha, I'd have to get them to make that ledge consistent all the way down the wall as a compromise. I am particular, as experienced by the trades who just built my house......
