I always hear this corporate greed argument about the toxic food industry. But the one I've been trying to wrap my head around, is toxic food colorings they put in everything. How does a company profit from putting an extra unrequired ingredient like food coloring in something like an energy drink? You can't see through the can, and it gets poured directly down your throat, so it can be clear and it changes nothing about the product. It seems like it actually costs them money to put those ingredients in.

The sad part is that other coloring ingredients exist, being that europe has banned these toxic ones like Alura Red, Sunset Orange, etc. You'd think our Government could take a break from producing propaganda for a day, and do something in it's mission statement for a change, like copying the EU and banning food dye and fortified wheat and shit like that.

I used to never take time off and only have minor colds but I’ve already had 6 days off work because of being sick in 2024 including a trip to urgent care. 2023 I was very sick including an ear infection that lasted for a week coming back from our honeymoon.

The weird part is I am eating healthier now and still sleep 8 hours a night compared to before 2020.

Assuming you are in the 40s, knowing someone getting hit with cancer is normal. My mom got it but that's normal for 70s. My friend got it at 50 but that's normal for having SE Asian genes.

Colon cancer is on the rise world wide. We also are eating way more fried food than before. Salt is also increase risk.

I am the opposite. I have been way better now than before covid. Partially due to partial WFH. Spending less time with unwashed masses, especially ones with kids actually kept me pretty healthy.

That said, had 1st bad flu like sickness this year after a weekend in Richmond. It's as sick as I got for quite a while.

I’ve been backwards. I’ve never been healthier since Covid even when being around sick people. I got sick for a week this year, was my first time being sick after everyone in the house went thru it. That weird flu with the shits.
