    Can't remember, but sounds farmiliar. Many do some chapter every seven years.

    From what I hear from americans they're a worthless organization anyway, that mainly exists to funnel membership dues to its executives.

    EDIT: Actually clicked the article and would you look at that lol. Not exactly the "evil gun lobby" many make them out to be. Their main priority is scamming boomers.

    Very true Sentry. Many American gun owners (and companies I've worked for there) think that the NRA is useless, and have done as much harm as good regarding the second amendment. GOA (Gun Owners of America) and many other groups are far more aggressive and have a much better record (according to the people I'm talking about) than the NRA does.

    This bankruptcy is also a bit of a strategic move, to get the NRA out of New York and to a more "friendly" state like Texas. They'll still have there millions of members, their lobby, and their "power", it's not going to change much.
