My Mom, who is in her late 70's, doesn't give a fuck even after her second Moderna dose 2 days ago. Old fucks are tougher than us middle aged kids.

I just feel exhausted at this point. Every muscle aches like I'm completely dehydrated, and skin is still super sensitive.
My wife just has a sore arm, and she's definitely unhealthier than I am. Almost like level of health doesn't matter, even when several people insist it does.
I work with a guy who "lifts weights and takes vitamins so fuck the covid, I can't catch it". Fuckwad. After I'm vaccinated I almost hope he does catch it, almost.

I thought the vaccine yesterday was way better than the flu, no sore arm, hardly felt the jab. I felt a bit nauseous last night but I feel fine today.

I'll probably milk it after I get the shot.. work from home in my sweats, eating taquitos.
Wait... I already do that
I had a good 36 hours of malaise and headache after my Pfizer first shot last week.
My mom (late 70's) had no reaction to her first moderna, and had 3 days of hell on her second shot... Her and 3 others in her residence had similar experiences, most didn't.

My wife and parents all had Pfizer, no reactions. I had AZ last night, and 24hrs later nothing but a sore arm. All systems normal.
Only weird thing was the nurse checking off the box "microchip inserted", but I don't think that really meant anything....
Nurses are way too blabby to be trusted with something as important as the microchip checklist.

Thats a fair point. I was not thinking in terms of importing the virus. But since there is so much rage against people flying. I thought it would be efficient way to get people vaccinated as they are in a one way channel. Im got covid tested at the airport anyway. Why not stick a needle in my arm if I consented? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
If the option was there, I would have taken a vaccine shot on arrival. Im in a hotel right now for the mandatory quarantine. Then at some point Im allowed to go home to quarantine for 14 days. After, I would have to go out and get vaccinated anyway. I think it would have been easier and better if the option was there.
If any of you are planning to go down to TCC for a walk in, the doors open at 8:15 and that’s when they start handing out tickets for times.
I see. I suppose that wouldn't hurt, but Karens would lose their collective brain cell at "evil vacationers" getting the vaccine before they were offered a chance (to turn it down because they want a different brand). This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Just think, if you were an "essential worker" coming from UK, you could've walked straight into a cab. Instead, you get the "citizens' fisting".
*Maybe you're a PR... Whatever, you get the point.
Welcome back at any rate. Quite a stressful journey to finally have in your rear-view mirror.
I bet you don't get any rep for this because people take themselves way too seriously here. I tried, gotta spread it around apparently. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
The walk-in seems really unappealing to me. Like fuck I want to make two trips. If walk-in is actually just another way to make an appointment, why not just make an appointment? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Was it @killramos that said there was nothing more Canadian than standing in line for healthcare? Well this must be doubly Canadian, since you need to stand in line just to make an appointment, at which you get to stand in a (hopefully) shorter line? Shruggingguy.gif
Seems really inefficient for the individual, although if people want to do it, then I guess good for them. Let's get those jabs in arms.

But comrade, you must stand in line for your vodka and bread rations.
They should use the Canada Parks website for vaccine appointments, and open to all ages for AZ.
