Those gas terminals better be solar powered.

So let me get this straight. As an Alberta oil and gas executive, I should wear an orange shirt first then start to get excited for triple meat subs at subway that ExtraSlow will be buying me?

So we want to build electric powered LNG export terminals in a part of the continent that is not well connected to any major gas production region? And I assume we don't wish to build any large gas transmission pipelines, or heaven forbid, encourage any increase in gas production. What could go wrong?

Is pieridae still not allowed to buy any gas that’s been frac’d?

Or have they moved off that ivory tower?

I'd feel better if... We did some more consultations and Indian appeasement "reconciliation" for another decade while the Americans build 3 more.

    Basically it’s rent seeking.

Develop a niche product stream then have governments make people buy it.

Slap in an SMR and good to go. Or are the climatards still against clean energy that actually reduces carbon footprint?

Anyone know what the status of that coastal gaslink pipeline is? Be nice to have that fully completely done.

Probably be done much faster if they weren't being frequently attacked by domestic terrorists

Micro-LNG is an excellent option for remote communities power generation. It's been done for drilling rigs and mines already. Really cool project. Doesn't move the needle on basin-wide offtake capacity, but still pretty sweet.

There's a guy here in Calgary that's developed a clever way to liquify CH4 at much higher temps and I've toured their demo/pilot plant (also in Calgary). This works great for micro LNG.
They are called Cool Ventures and there's a YouTube video tour. Last 5 min is most fun part.

You know what’s something I clearly don’t understand.

    Hydrogen Blending into Natural Gas.

Seriously. So we generate hydrogen, either from a process extracting it from methane or from burning methane to generate electricity to hydrolyse it.

Then we inject it into pipes designed a bajillion years ago for a substance with a much larger atomic size. To feed it into peoples homes where it is burned for heat or used to generate electricity (lol)

This is really better for the environment / more efficient than cutting out the middle man and just burning natural gas? What am I missing here?

Do people understand pure hydrogen isn’t something you can just pull out of the ground? It has to be made?
