Pretty simple, do you turn on your exterior Christmas lights in the morning or not?
Either by timer or manually.

Heck yeah - let's brighten up someone's day.
Heck naw - light the night only.
I run em 24/7, can't have too much party.
No lights, I only drive AMG.

I usually run mine until 11pm then off until 6am to sunrise.
Timed just like my backyard lights. 6:30am to sunrise, then sunset to 11pm

This but only because my photocell timer doesn’t allow two schedules. Otherwise I would add 6am-sunriseThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Starting Dec. 1st (maybe earlier this year as the kid is a huge fan of them) 7am till sunrise + sunset till 10pm. All are on soffit plugs with wifi switch.
5pm till 7am
I put night only because I'm usually 5pm to midnight. I usually start Dec 1, but with the Gemstones I've started a bit earlier the past couple years.
Accent lights on year-round also, dusk to midnight.
However, I'm not against morning lights. Generally the only times I do mornings is if I wake up and it's super foggy or something, then I'll throw some lights on just for kicks, but I'm coming around to being more of a morning guy in general.
But last year starting Dec 1 I also manually set up each day of the week to be a different light pattern. I'll pick out 7 different patterns on Sunday night and preprogram the week to be a different one each night. May start earlier with the patterns this year because there's a shit-ton of options.
Yeah...mine is dial select. One or the other up to 8 hrs I believe. Or sunset to sunrise. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Timer. 6pm-> 6am
5-10pm is fine, fuck off otherwise… I don’t need your lights that nobody is looking at shining through my bedroom window at 2:00am.

Had it running for new years eve a few hrs before midnight.
I'm dusk to 1am.
5:30am-7am (mostly for people walking to the bus or UofC).
Solid colors though.

Sunset to sunrise here. Typically the accent lights but when we are feeling festive then we run colours. I don't do animations though.

Speaking of lights, I've moved to a podominantly "white" neighborhood earlier this year. Is it normal for white people to keep their outdoor lights on all night?
Yes. It’s the rich people look I think. I’ve been working on my outdoor lighting game but pale in comparison to the rich folk. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I leave the outdoor lights on for the cameras. The night mode isn't bad, but the extra light is better.
