    Isn't that just sand?

If I could afford a F50, I would'nt care too much about the paint, since a paint job is pretty much just chump change.

Its sand alright... sand blasted paint! Chances are you *would* care about the paint... I know I would. A new paintjob would devalue the car so much.

ricecake: that was a car in the gumball3000 race from New York to LA... so they go all out regardless of where they are!

If I could afford a F50, I would not care about devaluation.

Thats not true at all, because you could have JUST enough money for the F50 to buy it.

For example, you can afford an SLK32AMG, but you would care if it devalues.

Yeah, even if the car lost all it's paint, i'd drive it. I'd rather drive a messed up car than ride a skateboard

Painting an F50 is a trivial matter. They only spray on one coat. Believe it or not, it is for weight savings. To 'qualify' to buy an F50 new, you have to already own 2 Ferraris, and sign a written contract promising not to sell the car for at least 24 months. The typical F50 owner probably has a net worth of $10M USD or more, so I doubt they care.

Yeah, I read that in a car magazine too (think it was Car & Driver). Even then, you're not guaranteed a shot at a F50.
