When posting a link to another thread or site, how do I write the link to automaticaly go to a certian point on a page?

you would have to find out what the post ID is for that post and add "&postid=xxxxx#postxxxxx" to the end of the current link

for example:


http://forums.beyond.ca/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6213

add "&postid=xxxxx#postxxxxx" to the end of the thread url replacing the XXXXX with appropriate post id number and it will take you to that post.

okay, so the post ID for my post is : postid=93183

so if I put:

http://forums.beyond.ca/showthread.p...3183#post93183

*note that I added "&postid=93183#post93183" to the original url.*


it takes you to my post.
