I need help on Halo...

I'm stuck at the part were I have to destroy the generators, I destroyed the first one, but I can't seem to figure out how to destroy the other one, and It won't let me pass............... ...I'm so frustrated...shit....

have you already gotten to the next generator? if not tell me where you are and I just run through the level and give you directions.

Is that the level where you have to get to computer panels on either side of this huge exhaust-pipe furnace thing?

I remember you have to get to some control panel (the red distance thing tells you right?), activate the panel to open up a vent, then you have to shoot a missile/throw grenade into the open vent (another red distance/indicator thing tells you where?).
I think the place has to RUMBLE a bit to tell you that it hit correctly, if it doesn't I think it means you missed??
Then do another, then another.....
I found that to be a HUGE pain in the butt, trying to get the aim right.

Also, some of the panels, I think you have to do some jumping around on the pipes near the ceiling around the top floor.

I think there were 4 (???) vents you have to open up and send explosives down, this was last year around X-mas, so my memory is not so good.

Thanx, I Destroyed the first generator, then flew the banchee down to were they told me togo, I crossed the two bridges were the flood and covnet are fighting, now I see this generator(I think it is one) w/ this thing pointed at it, But it's to high to reach and when I go back, the elevator lift falls, and the door is locked to the out side....

Do you know what I am talking about............?????
