What should I be, what should I do with my life??

haha, whats with this board and wanting to become lawyers? I wanted to go into law for a while, but 8 years in school is a little much for me. Both of my neighbors are lawyers and they make good money (ones a corporate lawyer and his wifes a crown prosecutor). And when I really thought about it, I didn't think law was the way to go. One of my friends went through the same thing. She wanted to go into family law, and after 2 years of school decided to drop out for a semester and take radio broadcasting. Needless to say, her grandparents were choked (her mom passed away when she was 3).

I am taking a real estate sales course because deep down it is what I have always been interested in, but my parents always discouraged me because of comission salary and the general lack of younger people succeeding in the industry.
A month or so ago, there was an article in the paper on young people going into real estate, and when teamed up with someone with experience- became quite successful. I will be partnering with my moms best friend as soon as my course in complete in March.

Take some time, do some soul searching. There is nothing worse than feeling like your are being forced into something you don't want to do.

I wanted to take law as well then I was introduced to Maryj and her friend Alcohol. Then I couldn't make the grades in High School to even get into University in the first place.

So, I did the next best thing and went to a Multimedia school, now that I'm done it's been great. Decent money for doing nothing, thats how I look at it.

You make your own hours, you do stuff to how you like because how you like it your boss likes it. Everythings good!

Well my direction is towards Law school right now.

6 years for part time I think and 3 for full time. Oh I'm not sure but I'll have to find out more.

Um is law school hard?

It's isn't easy, it's a lot of work, my friends brother is in medicinal law, granted it's at Harvard.

I love law, it's just that's a lot of school. My mom wants me to be a doctor, but theres no way i'm doin that.

The thing about music is i'm only really into hip hop and rap, i'm an ok singer but I wouldn't be able to get anywhere really with a singing voice, so going into hip hop my mom wouldn't like that because I live in a christian house, sure i could move out but I don't have much money now and i'd probably give my mom a heart attack or stroke (seriously).

I'll check out SAIT, I've got a bunch of friends there so I might as well check it out.

Yeah I like law too, but yeah hard work pays off in the end. Yeah I've been reading it there's lots of work into it but I like it and I might as well give it my best.

Yeah, actually I have, it's a hard thing to start up though and it's a good thing to have an education of some sort to fall back on if the business fails.

Yes, some to all are transferable. Depends on what you take. At the least, you' can get some partial credit.

Well im in business rite now and so far i found Economics much more usefull than my f up Management studies.... rite now im just taking lots of courses cuz after busniess u can make lots of diff things (so they say) but so far i just kinda live day by day not lookin into the future... im thinking taking courses in other fields like psych or sumifn to c if i like anything else....one thing that pisses me off are parents pressure. they want U to be this and that its like fuck only cuz u lettin me stay wit u untill i get a good job doesnt mean im gonna do what u want and become whatever u (my parents want). so im in business but still sofar i dont see anything i like to do and the coures i ve taken were useless (besides econ)

well of course...and obviously going into business isnt exactly a fool proof way of making money..

Hey buddy,

well why don't you try going into business or something, i am at sait right now in the business program and i to had wanted to do law and I to decided i didn't want to do another 7 years of school. But do something you are passionate about, what your likes and dislikes are. I know if i didn't get a degree my parents would flip so i totally understand where you are coming from , but you can do what you like and still please your mom. So just think of what you want to do that will both allow you to enjoy what you do and let your brain go to work.
