ull need an out of province inspection
Yea, all you need is an OOP inspection and proof of insurance.
Its technically not an OOP inspection. Its just a standard safety inspection. All used cars in Manitoba must have a safety done to be registered.
Once you have the safety done you can take it to any Autopac (MPIC) insurance agents and get your insurance and plates. You dont need to run around to 10 different places like you do in Alberta.
I thought all provinces had some sort of OOP....*shrug* maybe I'm wrong.

sputnik sounds like he knows what hes talking about, so i can just pick up any piece of shit in alberta with just a bill of sale, then get it saftied in manitoba and go to autopac?
I lived in Winnipeg for 22 years before moving to Calgary.
Thats basically it... as long as that car passes the safety (which is basically the same as any insurance or OOP safety).
Also, you will also need a valid Manitoba drivers licence which should be really easy to switch over at any Manitoba DMV if you already have an Alberta license. Sorry for overlooking that one.
i live in winnipeg and i got a mechanic as a friend so anything can be saftied, but i do not need a transfer of ownership document like on the back of the registration of manitoba insurance crap?
im sure your previous registration/insurance from Alberta or your pink slip will suffice.
