Drifting at Race City - Opening Event Thursday May 26th

Ok guys, I'm sad to say it. The event has been cancelled. It will not happen.

However, in return, Race City has told me that they will try opening the Friday night auto-x's for drifters as well as auto-xers. I think it would be nice to have our own thing, but this is something.

it can be quicker sometimes anyways depending on technique and skill

Maybe the last couple posts are an indication of why the event was cancelled. We're all pissed off... but this is perhaps how Race City views us as a group. Are we dumb asses who don't know how to behave at the track? or can we have respect for track rules and staff? This was a problem to some degree last year, and came up in my recent discussions.

Whether this was this issue that lead to the cancellation of our event or not... I cannot say. Honestly I'm a little dumbfounded about it.

Smart ass comments like this don't help. Race City management frequents this board as well. Wether they like it or not? who are you to say? They can kick you out and ban you permanently from their premises just for looking at them cock-eyed if they wanted to.

If we ever get another shot at this at another venue, I hope attitudes won't be as poor as this or we'll be shut down again.

it sucks that the event was cancelled but people saying dumb things like garage fujimoto did isn't going to make the situation any better, remember you are using race city's facilities and its a privelage not a right...when you're there respect the rules and they may be more leniant if we all prove we can be responsible..im sure everyone wants to go have some fun but people doing dumb things is only going to make this season worse...

ok he didnt just say it in a way to spit Race city drifting can be faster if proper technique and skill is used like he said!

And I don't get this maybe I missed something what are you getting at about our attidue all I asked if by drifting every friday they ment we could drift the Autocross track or if there was another section set up for us.
