Hmmm, that's tough.
My faves are the Sword of Truth series (still going, kinda sucking at the moment), the original Dragonlance Chronicles...
The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy series should be read by everyone!
The War of the Worlds is another good one.
And for the heck of it, Calvin & Hobbes!
I just read The Da Vinci Code and really enjoyed it. Jurassic park is a classic as well as most John Grishams. I was never really into the fantasy fiction genre so the books I read have to be somewhat realistic.
Romance of the Three Kingdoms!
The Sword of Truth series very good..if you liked that series read the Wheel of Time series by robert jordan? very good. I have also read the The Da Vinci Code awsome book if you liked that read a book called Bloodline of the Holy Grail amazing book, shines alot of truth into how the catholic church was created. hmm another good book was Time Line very good also haha I love books I read quite abit
I read it in school but I thought Lord of the Flies was definatly one of the better books I have read
Sex should be like a Civic; slow, obscene, and loud enough for the neighbors to hear.
1984 by George Orwell
The Hobbit
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Theres a couple classics I want to read (maybe this summer) like Dantes Inferno, Paridise, and Purgatory (not sure if they are seperate volumes though).
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.”
—Cicero, Roman statesman and lawyer
the Da Vinci Code which was already mentioned...
but ANY and ALL of the King thrillers...especially the ones they have already made into movies you have seen, they are a blast to read...writing style is amazing...
...@therealarifjina...
A Clockwork Orange, and ANYTHING by Marquis De Sade.
Lost in a Roman wilderness of pain. And all the children are insane.
The Count Of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas
other than that, it really depends on what you value in life, what ur beleifs are, and all that kinda stuff.
Harry Potter series.
Whats so good about The Da Vinci Code? We're looking for houses right now and almost every house I have viewed they usually have that book sitting on the nightstand or coffee table!Originally posted by davidI

Harry Potter series.
The book is based on 'clues' left in historic art as well as many museums / churches in Europe. I learned a couple things while reading it plus it is the sort of mystery where you're guessing all along what the solution to their next clue will be.Originally posted by /////AMG

The Hobbit

as mentioned already dragonalance series is pretty good, Most of Stpehen King's stuff is great (read the Dark Tower series, it's amazing!!!)
Da Vinci code is a great book - just read it about a month ago, and again recently.
It's probably not necessarily true, but it claims to be based on real historic facts and events.
I also like John Grisham. His books are pretty well written.
