FYI July 27 403/Beyond Meet: Security talks.

Last night some guy crashed into a pillar near the parking area of the beyond meet. He was not with beyond, just a regular joe shopping.

Well the hawks circled us for over 5 minutes, several cruisers came to us like they were ready to do a drug bust hahaha, parked blocking our traffic etc. The cops did not like the several guys who were taking pictures of the wrecjk up close and gave them shit. They took down a few licence place of some beyond members cars, not sure what that was about.... There was only 1 beyond witness, he talked to the cops.

Anyways. Part of my job is to interact with building securities. I happened to be working at Chinook today and dealing with security. I talked to them, they said that they are aware that beyond members were not a part of or the cause of the accident and security was aware the driver was not affiliated with beyond. Beyond meets will still be allowed at chinook.

But I'm sure we have drawn more attention now from the CPS and security.

The hotrod meet at A&W accross from chinook was huuuuuge compaired to ours that day. 100+ hot rods!

Looked like some fancy cars there, talked with the dude with the Skyline for abit, was having some issues with that, shitty deal.

I dont know how the Hot Rod guys would like being invated by 20+ imports...those have kind of been their meets for years, they just had to move because willy's closed

Why do we need to move? Chinook is perfect. Security is fine with us, we have all the food, drinks, ect ect ect right super close and a big open space for everyone. I think it's a great location

I think we're fine @Chinook, as long as nothing like what happened this Wed. happens again....I'm pretty sure the next time it happens, it won't matter if the parties involved aren't affiliated with 403honda.com/beyond.ca....The CPS will most likely advise Chinook/Chinook security to ban any such car meets to take place ever again

The only thing I notice is we need to be more mature when dealing with securities / police and incidents such as this. 'cause eventually we will get kick out if all they see is a bunch of kids with no respect.

I don't see why we can't go hang with the "old" guys for a week. I know that every week, I go to the Beyond meet with the full intention of going to see the muscle cars at some point, but I always forget!
