    Default Unlicensed vehicle on street

Ok, I'm sort of venting and sort of asking for suggestions. There's this truck parked infront of my house and doesn't have any license on it. Its parked on the street where 2 cars can park front to back and this truck is parked on their side. That part doesn't bother me one bit. The part that bothers me is that there are 4 cars that belong to this house. 2 in the driveway, one truck that hasn't been moved in a 1 1/2, and the one guy that keeps parking in my spot whenever I leave.

I figure if the truck was gone, they wouldn't (and I) have a problem with parking, so should I give the city a call and get them to tow this junk away?

maybe ask your neigbours nicely first...but i think you have every rite to call the city and get it towed away.IIRC, if a car has no license plates, it has to be on their property.

Just go talk to you neighbours firsts, no need to start a big problem between the 2 of you if they will jsut move it in the first place. No if they dont move it, then forsures have it towed....

Just make an anonymous call to the city, or pretend you're the other neighbor, and say it's an eyesore.

If you tell them, it will tip them off to move it onto their property, and then there will always be a car parked in your spot when you get back.

I wouldn't tell them first, unless I really like them and could live with it there. If you ask them, they don't and then it's towed, then they'll know you had it towed.

FYI a car parked on the street also needs to have a valid sticker on the plate and be PLPD insured.

Who would I call? Calgary Bylaw? BTW. think the truck is a 79 jimmy. Not sure, its very old and ugly.

And also, talking to them would just get them pist off. I thought about how I would react if someone asked me to move my unregistered car.

The truck is not in Douglas dale.

Yeah like everyone else said just call it in. Most wouldn't take that very well and of course you understand they will know its you when the car does get towed or whatever (if you spoke to them first). And like discussed whats to stop them from just putting that on the driveway and moving another pos there in its place? I'm assuming bylaw services would be the ones to deal with that
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.”

It's not the size that matters, it's the taste it leaves in your mouth.
