Wow you under educated folks.. I am on many forums and been in the import scene for a while now. On the East Coast and West Coast where modding imports is real big, RICE - or Ricer is an insult.. A big one. I am about to give the Definition of these terms.. listen carefully.

Being called RICE or RICER means you have an IMPORT or Even Domestic that is all show and No go. For example.. lets say you have a stock Civic DX with a park bench wing, neons, huge body kit, boost gauge with no turbo actually installed, stickers all over the place, a roll cage etc. It's all about having too much go fast looks and no GO!! People use the term for a car like that.. such as "that is one riced out car!!!" Heres another example.. I really saw this by the way.. a Ford Escort Pony with a wing, japanese writing on the rear window. Neons and strobes all over. I laughed hard.. I almost Cried.. Biggest Ricer EVER!!!

Haha, you must have read the essay that I wrote in my University days.

It's all about being all show and no go,
with the spoiler so high and the chasis so low.
Yet, through the dark tint, and the bright fog-light glow,
I don't need a hint, because I already know,
that despite all the decals and the loud exhaust noise,
it's a gutless car driven by them god-damn rice-boys!

Now let's see... let's say I build an all show car. I'll be called a ricer. So I build an all go car. I'm now driving a fast shitbox. So I go and build an all show all go car. I'm now wasting money, why didn't I use that money to buy a Ferrari? So I go buy a Ferrari, and now I'm a spoiled poser brat. See the trend?

In a large community, there will always be criticism because there will be a show crowd that doesn't agree with your "go car", and the go crowd that won't agree with your "show car". It's all about how you handle it (here's a hint. Do what you wanna do).
