I bought a transaxle transmission from someone in Ontario once.
It fit into a Rubbermaid box that he screwed the edges of the top down.
Then axles came in different box.
Shipping via greyhound. Unsure if that's still a thing.

But yea, finding a truck that does that route regularly might be the cheapest way. Otherwise you pay for all the middle-manning to arrange it.
