one fo the few receivers on he market capable of runninf true 5.1 sound in two seperate rooms from two different sources.
but im just looking for music for multi room, not 5.1 surround.
But thanks for recommendation
http://crestron.com/ this is not cheep shit... but works awsome... my and my brother in law just spent the last 4 weeks doing his new home... he has the touch panels in each zone, and you can play music from any source in the house (mailny used is the audio server that they have, and his ipod)....

where did you buy your stuff from.
also how much did it cost
How badly do you want seperate sources to play in each room. The reason I ask is that it signifcantly increases the price.
it came out of BC... i dont know how much it cost, i know it was over 10k

what do you think about this set up from futureshop.ca

well even just local radio channels would be nice, nothing too fancy.
if you could just switch between radio stations and control volume and maybe a cd or mp3 player...
then just some bookshelf systems

The ability to make it play different sources in different rooms at the same time is what makes it fancy.
Is this new construction or a retro fit?
Are the speakers/volume controlls... installed?
You might find this somewhat helpful.

new construction and nothing is installed.
is there any computer programs that allow multi room set ups with wall controls.
has anyone heard of breathe audio.
You can spend 10k setting up a multi room audio system and get average sound in all of them, or drop the 10k in an acoustically treated dedicated listening room and have stellar reproduction in that single room. Personally, I'd choose the latter, but if you just want the technoweenie factor, it looks like the FS controller would work for you.
