    Default Camping.

I hope this is a right place, im sure there are a few exp camper around.
Anyone know a good place to camp, preferably by water. I know it's a bit late, but my friend decided to pass the job to me.
I need a place that i could make reservation for sure.
we're going with about 10 ppl, hoping to all go together in my new giant tent.
    but preferably have two spots.
PS: any camping tips for newbie would be great!
    thanks guys,

depends how far you are going

Honestly my all time favorite campground ever is Cedars campground. It gives you the nice treed lots like you are in the wild, 15 minutes from shushwap lake, you have a creek and pond in the campground (where we caught turtles)
And you also get the ammeneties such as indoor pool, showers, and laundry

Well it depends on what type of camping you are looking for...

    - pay sites? or roughin it in the bush? (outhouse? or bush style?)
    - by water? does that mean a lake or just a river or such?
    - how many people going are experienced campers? if any.
    - bringing your own firewood? or getting some on-site?
    - bringing any toys? boat? quads? dirt bikes? 4x4 trucks?

i prefer paid sites, by water = lake, river, anythng nice looking that isnt a pond.
we all have camped before, but none of us are frequent campers,
    firewoods are always onsite right?
as for toys, friends do that, im responsible for the site only.
    checking sibbald flat right now
thanks for the quick replies guys

Try checking out Little Bow provincial park campsite... It's about an hour or so southeast of calgary.. 5 minutes from Champion alberta.

Around the Gull/Sylvan lake area is decent too.

I myself prefer the mountain areas tho, I always just rough it in the bush tho.

    yeah i prefer mountains too.

I love camping too, unfortunately the last time i got a chance to go was in 2003.
Must make up for 3 years worth of camping in one night.

Westward ho campground... Right out side of sundre like 5 minutes...I have been camping there since I was 3 months old....It is the only place I go so close to quading, or hiking or the kids can go have a swim in the river all up to you....
