    Default Nikon Sensor

    Hey guys,

Anyone know where I can go to get my DSLR sensor clean.

I was in Vegas and doing allot of lens changing and now want to have the sensor clean.

If I DIY what is the best way.

    thanks

I use Photographic Solutions Sensor Swabs and Eclipse fluid, both are available locally.

Look up the Copper Hill method, that's the way I do it and it works great.

How often do you clean your sensor? Just out of curiosity, I've never done it but have been looking into it recently.

Depends on what conditions I've been changing lenses in. I do a dust-check every few weeks just to make sure I don't have anything that'll show up at F/11 or larger. I usually clean every few months or so, but I'm a bit anal about having a clean sensor and most people (casual shooters) don't do it that often.

I could never get the sensor 100% clean with pec pads and eclipse fluid no matter what I tried. I'm insanely anal retentive about sensor dust and if I even see it at f/32 (even though I've never shot at that aperture), I'll keep on cleaning.

A couple swipes with Arctic Butterfly and I'm home free.
