While there are other factors in play here than just past history (cultural importance of academics being a big one) what you wrote is still full of shit.

Where do you think a lot of the black Canadians came from? Oh right, runaway American slaves. There's also a lot of recent immigrants directly from the African continent, another place that has appalling educational standards, much of which a result of crippling colonial policies.

Meanwhile, what would you guestimate the actual ratio for Chinese people is that have descendants that worked on the railroads as opposed to the massive influx of relatively new immigrants? It's pretty fucking high.
