Default My 4 month (so far) journey from fat to decent

well, I have been up and down in weight since junior high, I played high school sports and was fit, 205 solid. car accident in grade 12 pretty much kept me from doing much more than walking for over a year. I got fucking huge lol, I was 300lbs, then started a uneducated clenbuterol filled workout regime which over a 2 year span brought me down to a cool 230 where I stayed for awhile.
fast forward I had gained about 30lbs and started doing nate green built for show and having a super clean diet, I dropped to 230 again and was in pretty good shape, still high bf but good enough for me. I got a depressing job and stopped working out and over that time gained close to 60 lbs. Got a new job just never got back to the gym. Ran a 10k at 285lbs which i thought was good, in just over an hour also. but ff to 4 months ago.

I started Ideal protein Diet after my wife did it with great success. If unfamiliar it is essentially a low low carb (under 30g) ketosis based diet with restricted calories.
They also do not allow working out due to low calories, but I sneak some in every now and then.

    Starting stats
    6'1
    286lbs
    arm (just above elbow) 14.5"
    Underarm (armpit around) 45.5"
    chest 45"
    thorax 40"
    waist 43"
    hips 49"
    thigh (just above knee) 27"
    bf% 36

So needless to say I was a fat cunt.

Diet has been easy for me to do, (hard at times which anything is) but I have been very strict with it.
    current (as of august 21st)

    227lbs
arm 13.25" (actual bicep is closer to 16)
    underarm 40.5"
    chest 39.5"
    thorax 34"
    waist 35"
    hips 42"
    thighs 21"
    bf% 22.5

So the diet works well, eat 4 cups of vegetables a day feel incredible, and am close to my goal of 205, after that I will be hitting the gym daily and following a program to gain 10-15lbs of muscle in about a year.
I have some before and current photos somewhere that I will dig up.

The job can have a huge effect on your body. Stress and depression can make your body lethargic and fat. This is also one reason why people in failing marrigage often "let themselves go."

I've been there. Luckily, I'm in a much better place mentally these days, so I'm no longer lethargic, just fat.

Cal frac wasn't even the depressing job lol. Well it is one of them but not THE one. I at least had money there. I was depressed when workin 60 hours a week for 1300 pay cheque. For 2 weeks.

Now I make good money, have time for myself and a nice car to look forward to getting into and with that comes more wants. Nice body. Better home life etc. just hope I don't get sent down a stray path again and lose what I have gained

What are the particulars of this diet? I don't really care about my weight per se, I just want to get rid of that final layer of fat that wouldn't go away. I have muscle so I weight more than 'normal' because of that anyway, just the fat is pissing me off.

It's a protein based low carb. You buy food from them mostly soups, shakes and what not, which I find cheap. But it's essentially a protein shake in the morning, a soup and big salad or vegetables and 8oz of real meat at night, and a "carb snack" You get about 120 grams of protein a day and about 20-30 carbs. The. You phase put of the diet by eating more meats. Teaches you proper eating after with carbs in the morning and none for the rest of the day unless working out. Idealprotein.com I believe. I lose roughly 3-6lbs a week still and I have been on it now almost 5 months.
Seems like low calories but your body adjusts in about a week when ketosis takes over

I am interested in this diet, is there anywhere I can read about it so I can try and follow it? Like with proper directions and meal examples and everything? Thanks!
