So... did they?
"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents... some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new Dark Age."

Sticking with the whisk(e)y theme, a few frames from a pre holiday brand shoot last night for Glenfiddich. The specifically wanted super warm tones and a cozy home feel. Lit with ambient candle light and a single studio light and a fresnel pointed directly at the ceiling above the table at around 20%.

Pretty sweet, @Eride . Which lens and aperture were these shot at? I like the separation of the bottle.
Thanks man! Used a combination of the Nikon 24, 35, and 85 1.4 for this shoot.
Looks great man! All natural lighting?

Nice, that's what I figured. When you're doing shoots for these companies, do they give you guidelines as to what they're looking for in the photos? Or do you have complete creative control? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
awesome shots man, best thing is you are also getting paid to drink and eat too!
For this shoot they gave me a mood board that was about it. Sometimes the briefs are super specific other times they give a lot more creative control. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

If you do want to experiment with strobes, feel free to take my Alien Bees setup for a spin. Got modifiers up to an 86" parabolic if you want to try big diffused light.
Pictures look good but I would have taken a bit of time to edit out the light reflections off the bottles. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Just a quick pic I took. This is my worksite for about a month. I am no photographer lol
Few new frames from the past little while, bit of a mix of client and personal work. Who else has been out shooting?
