Hey so I did a search and saw a few things but a bit generic in content.
Got a vehicle that's sitting till spring in a non heated garage. battery was dead to the point couldn't be charged. Warrantied the battery and trying to figure out how best to prevent it from dying again. I want to start the car occasionally to run for a few mins and its with in-laws who aren't capable of reconnecting/disconnecting the battery as needed. It also has a trunk mount battery so a little more complicated to run wiring (I guess).
I was looking at these:

Thinking of hard wiring to the posts with ring connector and then just running a cord out window etc? I don't know if that's the right path so looking for advice. Also open to other suggestions than those above.
Should also add I have one of these as well:

I don't know if its good to leave it plugged in for weeks on end though?
Thanks y'all
