Thanks, but that's a T610 w/o the 850Mhz band. If it was a T616 it would be in my pocket already

Just as an aside, Fido never sold the T616. Any T616 you get will be unlocked.

oh i thought they were essentially the same phone just 610 was fido and 616 was rogers....my bad

610 has 900mhz, 616 has 850mhz, other than that identical phones. 616 will have better reception with rogers. either one will be exactly the same with fido.

same wit t637...637 = 850mhz, t630=900mhz....but on fido it sitll wont make a difference

I go to Medicine Hat, Fort Mac and Saskatchewan a lot and use Rogers' network (ie Fido's 'extended' network) while I'm there.

I have a Moto v80 that works fine in Calgary, but I found out last weekend that the reception is complete ass when I'm out of Fido's primary service area. I figure that a nice little 850Mhz SE will do the trick.

Am I wrong?

Fido did sell the t616, about a year ago, back when it was $375, then they switched to the t610
