    Default Project Wile E Coyote

Picked up this car to wrench on a few weeks ago and the parts have begun to arrive so I thought I would start a thread.
Car: 1989 Mustang LX Notch - no options
193,000kms, stock motor/trans + headers and intake, maybe a cam (can't solve rough idle).

Big Update - Shakedown Dyno Runs

    As it sits now:

    Mods Ordered:
Ford Racing Coyote Crate Engine w/ FRPP Control Pack
    Tremec T-56 Magnum Trans
    McLeod RST Clutch/Pressure Plate
    Custom Driveshaft
Ford Racing 3.73 Gear with Detroit Tru Trac
    31 Spline Moser axles
    Complete 5-lug Conversion
    4 corner Baer Track + brakes (13" 4pot (f), 12" 2pot (r)
BBK Coyote Swap Long Tube Headers
BBK Coyote Swap Catless H Pipe
    Maximum Motorsports K-Member
    Stiflers Transmission Crossmember
Maximum Motorsports Bilstein Coilover Front and Rear
    Steeda Adjustable UCA's
    MM LCA's
MM Bumpsteer Kit and Camber plates
    Flaming River Power Steering Rack
FRPP Power Steering Relocation and Pump
    TSW Carthage Wheels (17x9(f), 18x10(r))
    Hankook Ventus V12 Evo Tires (245/40, 285/35)
    Mishimoto Radiator and Electric Fan
Corbeau A4 Seats in Black Cloth/Leather
Steeda Tri Ax Shifter Arm w/knob (unsure on knob)
    Aeromotive Stealth 340lph fuel pump
    AEM Wideband Gauge Kit
    Aeromotive Fuel Pressure Regulator
Various lines, fittings, grommets hoses etc

Plans are for the motor and drive line to be pulled late August and all the suspension, rear end, K-member etc to be installed. Coyote and Trans will then go in in March/April and should be a runner by June. Teardown is being done by me with some install of the new gear and probably lots of assistance from outside shops (not sure which ones yet but I have a couple in mind).
Western Motorsports has handled most of the parts for me and they have been a huge help.

More pictures of how the car sits now and I will update as things progress.

Damn that car looks to be in pretty good condition! Any rust or known problems with the body?

Clean fox body! And the lightest too. Can't wait
    To see the finished car!
A Ferrari is a high maintenance chick, you spend money regardless of what you do with her. You can baby the C63, or slap on all seasons, and you won't be spending anything but yearly maintenance. Of course that's like dating a stripper and refusing to fuck her, which would make you gay.

Thanks guys. Nothing I have found so far. It was originally a burgundy car and had an okay repaint about 4 years ago. Car was originally from Victoria, and I bought it in Cranbrook. Found the original business card from the guy who sold the car in the glovebox.

Ya I had been sitting on this plan for a while but was waiting for the right car to pop up. Clean foxes are commanding a lot of money and usually the good ones have refreshed motors which I didn't need.

Also, definitely going to have Techmotion tune the car as he has a coyote in his 33 street rod shop car.

Awesome build thread, I will definately subscribe to this. Its awesome to see another mustang guy in here. You are a very lucky man to find a clean fox. Also you will love the T56magnum. I have one in my car and it takes abuse like a champ and my car makes more power than what its rated for. I have heard mixed reviews on the macloud rst. I have heard a couple people around town killing them. I have an RXT and its awesome. Very streetable. It gets a little grabby when it gets hot though. But i still love it

Small update: I don't want to have to do any major changes in the future with the motor so I am trying to find some room in the budget to opt for the Alluminator Coyote Crate motor. It's a small (relatively) price to pay to get forged connecting rods, Mahle pistons, oil cooling jets, better forged crank and ARP 2000 hardware. It will run the same 11:1 compression as the stock coyote but will be well overbuilt for my street N/A application. It will allow for low boost supercharging or Nitrous in the future should I go that route.

It also allows the tuner more flexibility for timing so may be able to squeeze some more N/A power while using the full 7500RPM capability of the control pack.
