    Pretty much, yeah.

I almost went for a GTS this year because I was told it was such a rare chance to build and spec bespoke 911 my liking.

I want/wanted a GT3 build at msrp so I was willing to jump the hoops with the GTS, but they basically told me they would NEED me to trade in the GTS for what they felt was market value to get my chance at a GT allocation. Such a bullshit company and circle jerk to be apart of. Fuck Porsche and everything they stand for.

The cars are great but I hope the values plummet because it’s a shitty way to do conduct business and I don’t support it
The prices are a consequence of this dickishness. Not the cause.

Like many luxury brands, Porsche had carefully cultivated a fake scarcity

Porsche Company certainly aren't the ones who look foolish in this situation.

Issue is people with more money than brains. If those fuckheads would stop paying the ridiculous prices in their never ending quest to flex their new money (for the most part) dicks, then the dealers would not be able to extort people like that.

Most places are extorting customers right now thanks to the inflated "scarcity" market. It really takes all of fun out of a new vehicle purchase. I'd rather just not own a vehicle if it gets tainted in the purchase process.

The Porsche "business finance" sales person though... that was an entirely new level of douchebaggery. I've faced high pressure sales and brushed it off before, but I spent like 2 hours in a small room with these mother fuckers and it ended with me border line yelling at them to process the sale and STFU. At one point they told me I should go talk to my financial advisor

Not that anything I dealt with is at the same level as the nonsense Porsche was trying to put BavarianBeast through

Similar for me. I had to chase my daughter down the hall at one point and the lady tries to re-ask my wife about buying all the crap they are selling that i had already said no to.

There is zero chance I would EVER let my wife be in the building during that process. Ideally I wouldn't even be i the building for it.

My expectation in all things car purchase-y is that I have the paperwork fully prepped before I get there. Preferably signed, even. I'm not going anywhere to do anything in life if the paperwork is not prepped already.

Yeah I've seen a lot of cars on BAT lately not meeting reserve. Some of these people are a little late to the party.

I need to start making this a requirement in my life

My first run-in with them was when I was dropping off a deposit. She was trying to convince me to lease instead of purchasing it outright and started telling me about how I could re-invest the money and come out ahead. I was perplexed... like fuck off, if you were any good at investing you wouldn't be trying to scam people into extended warranties on their paint.

Also, thank god I didn't lease... you have to go to Porsche for service if you go that route. Did you know oil changes are 655$? LOL... Ima go to Jiffy Lube and have a 89Coupe style lunch instead!

Haha I wish I was at the level that I am referring to. Then I'd be laughing at all the plebs here complaining about vehicle mark-ups. Haha.
