    Default 2022 Infinit QX60

Anyone go hands on with this yet?

It looks like a much better vehicle than previous Infinitis (styling and transmission).

My wife is bitching about the Atlas a lot lately. Options are narrow. We test drove an X7, but you cant get them right now. The GLS is an option, but she hated our old GLS. However, a lot of the competitors in the market don't have a captains chairs + usable rear seat arrangement, which we love in the Atlas. Most of them are just too small - the MDX, the Genesis, etc.

However, it looks like Nissan/Infiniti have focused on a usable third row. The interior looks nice, if not crazy. Price is okay.

I only just looked since you mentioned it. Wow! It looks quite good. I've always hated their clown-shoe smaller SUV's before, but this is a nice departure.
I'm surprised at the low HP for that direct injected 3.5L as that's barely more power than my 2003 Z had (without direct injection). That's a fail, but it's still adequate power.

Can you get the Redline TT V6 in the fancy trim one? That would be awesome!

    I don't think so.

And I'm not surprised that Nissan can't put a better engine in it...I'm pretty sure they moonlight making V6's for tractors.

Pay Sasha in Edmonton to do a custom, undermount Turbo and get that bitch up to 450whp from Day-1.

Isn’t that just a fancy pathfinder? We’ve been looking at the same thing lately, large three row SUV to just have space. Just go full size SUV like an Armada and never worry about bringing too much crap. I feel like a QX60 will just leave you wishing you had more. Drive an Armada or Yukon size and you’ll never want to go smaller.

I'm not a fan of body on frame SUVs. The packaging compromises on them means the interior space you gain isn't as much as you think.

    Fixed..

We had a 2019 qx90? The big one? For a rental once. It was ok for a short time. I imagine this qx60 would be ok

Well in that case, just join FB group of whatever vehicle you’re interested in for research. The 22 Pathfinder group I scouted reported tones of issues with general quality and electronic issues. I can’t imagine an Infiniti would be much better.

It wouldn't be. Thanks for the heads up, I'll do more research

He goes by Boosted Performance and he makes custom fab'd turbo kits for the Z market and sells them all over North America. The turbo is "mid mount" under the car and his kits generally put out 450+whp depending on which VQ they go onto. That's stock block VQ's.

He's in Edmonton but I doubt he'd take this on as a 1-off when there would be next to zero future market for it...
    Still... Money talks.

    I don't THINK it's a fancy Pathfinder... I think it's their replacement for the FX35 and EX35 clown shoes...
I'm no expert, but I don't think there has been an Infiniti Pathfinder. For some reason they made the fancy Armada as the Q56 (and whatever the fuck their idiotic nomenclature today calls it) but I sort of think they never made an InfinitiFinder...

Lets see the dyno graph on that. Looks like highway merging would get dicey at around 5000rpm.

QX60 has always continues to be fancy Pathfinders. FX35 and EX35 are both discontinued and won't be replaced.

I like the looks. Given this is the 1st time a VQ has been paired with a ZF, I'm sure there are still some learning to be had. Honda's attempt to slap this ZF transmission on J35 didn't go very well for them. And sounds like Nissan is having the same problem with delay downshifts.

Here's a ludicrous dyno graph of a built block that made >900whp from a guy I bought some stuff from in Jersey:

Qx4 from the early 2000s was about a direct copy of a pathfinder as you could get

What about an LX600? Even bigger grill than BMW's...was casually looking at them but that's a lot of money for a Lexus SUV.
