So many factors, climate change and the warmth might endow more of us.

Here it is... As we all expected:
"Canadian families and individuals with incomes between $30,000 and $60,000 are often shouldering the heaviest tax burden, finds a new study by the Fraser Institute.

These low- to middle-income earners face marginal effective tax rates (METRs) that approach or exceed 50%, reducing the incentive to earn additional income and complicating their financial stability.

Marginal effective tax rates account for the combined effect of the tax and transfer system and represent an individual’s take-home income.

Individuals and families with incomes between $30,001 and $60,000 face the highest METRs. In Quebec, the METR for a family in this tax bracket is as high as 57%."

A family with a combined gross income under $40,000 is below the poverty line by many measures. Its insane the high marginal tax rate they face.

They can't reduce the tax burden on those households. They need the money.

And that’s the bottom line cuz Littledan said so!

Also if the hippies have issue with it, trial by combat. No way those vegan mofos will win lol

Pretty much all of the former USSR countries in Eastern Europe and even some of the Stans are embracing strong policies (i.e. the government is getting the F out of the way to let people pursue their dreams).

US is eating Canada and Europe for lunch economically, though they're no longer the empire they once were.

Hell, even Argentina just had a budget surplus. It's still a basket case but I honestly think if Milei is given enough time things will be markedly better there.

On another note, Freakanomics did a podcast with Trudeau. I've tried listening to it twice but give up after hearing Trudeau throw out bullshit political lies a few times I realize I'm just wasting my time. Though, I would like to know if Dubner ever pushes back or calls him out on it (the title "A Social Activist in Prime Minister's Clothing" makes me think he might, which is why I wanted to listen to it in the first place.

I was pretty sure Buster meant China, but the I rembered he's been critical of them recently too.

I not a big fan of that path Canada is on. I see some big problems in the USA that seen very similar.
