"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents... some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new Dark Age."

Talk about mental health (in all it's forms, not just depression which is a very common subset of this topic).
I got diagnosed with ADHD at the ripe old age of 37 this year. Recently started some meds for it, which are helping, but equally important for me was the possible explanation of some challenges I've had in the past that I basically attributed to being lazy. It's hard to tell if not treating it until now has hindered me at all from a career perspective, but I'm hopeful this will help me achieve my potential with a bit less stress and anxiety.

But ADHD isn't a "thing"...it's just a highly variable quality that is present in everyone to a matter of degree. You benefit from medications because your version of this quality is higher than others. (I'm trying to avoid the use of the word spectrum...but that's precisely what it is).
Being diagnosed with ADHD is like being diagnosed with being tall or any other trait. It doesn't really make sense.
