1.9% Copper and 0.33% Molybdenum or 6.5 lbs/ton Molybdenum Reported in Hole
99F Over 12 Meter Interval
TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 18, 2007) - Pacific Comox Resources Ltd.
(TSX VENTURE:PCM) reports the assays for an additional 3 diamond drill holes
testing the area of the former producing underground copper mine (the South
Zone) at its Ryan Lake copper/molybdenum property at Matachewan, Ontario.
Drilling is continuing and assays will be reported when received for the
additional holes.
Hole 99F reported two mineralized intervals in the assays received to-date.
Interval of 12 meters grading 1.4% copper and 0.051% molybdenum starting at 18
meters, followed by an interval of 12 meters grading 1.9% copper and 0.33%
molybdenum (6.5 lbs/ton molybdenum) from 39 meters. The second interval also
reported a gold grade of 0.55 g/tonne and 25 g/tonne silver.
Hole 91 reported an interval of 9 meters grading 1.2% copper and 0.027 %
molybdenum from 30 meters within a longer mineralized interval of 115 meters
starting at 13 meters grading 0.24% copper and 0.009% molybdenum.
The assay results for the 3 holes reported are summarized in Table 1. For hole
C99F assays for the interval 52 meters to the end of the hole have not been
received. All the holes also reported gold and silver values.
In the current program on the South Zone additional holes have been drilled
both north and south of the completed holes on many of the sections to extend
the 700 foot North-South dimension of the drill tested areas. The South Zone
has now been tested over 800 feet on an East-West dimension.
The current program also tested the indicated mineralized zones to deeper
levels than the previous programs. The mill which is currently processing
barite is expected to be a major asset going forward to facilitate the
resumption of copper/molybdenum production on the property.
Robert Hill P. Eng. serves as the qualified person (QP) for the sampling and
exploration program under the definitions of National Instrument 43-101,
reviewed this release and supervised the drilling program. The geologists on
this program were Dan Crossley P. Eng. and Robert Van Ingen P. Eng.. The split
NQ core samples were assayed at Swastika Laboratories Ltd. Swastika Ontario,
an accredited laboratory.

definitly looks like BMK and NOT is finally cooling down... I personally think NOT has hit the top... BMK might spike a little bit but there could be a massive sell off when the much antipated news come out... and when thats over VMS should start to have the drill results on the 13 cores and the money from BMK/NOT might start shifting that way..... Im pretty confiden that VMS will hit $2 or $2.5 before Xmas.. Come on I need money to install my body kit :D :D

For those of who who didnt cash in your ROL.A when it got bought out, finally got some good news....
Action Energy Inc. (AEC - TSX Venture Exchange) Announces Exploration Results In Three New Light Oil Pool Discoveries
CALGARY, Oct. 18 /CNW/ - Action Energy Inc. ("Action") is pleased to announce the Company's exploration efforts in the Peace River Arch and Central Alberta have yielded three significant light oil pool discoveries. The Company has identified up to 11 follow-up locations on these new discoveries, a number of which could be drilled as part of the 2008 development program. These discoveries increase the total number of exploration successes in this business unit to five, including two previously announced Leduc pool discoveries in Sylvan Lake.
The 6-26-73-21W5 Gilwood oil discovery in McLeans Creek encountered approximately 35 feet of oil column having an average porosity of 12% in the pay zone. Production commenced from the well in October with an initial production rate of 200 bopd and average rates of 122 bopd. Action has identified four additional follow-up lower risk development locations to delineate the pool. Action operates the well and holds a 100% working interest in the new 350 API oil gravity discovery. Action has an extensive seismic data base and a 25 section (100% WI) land block in the McLeans Creek area.
In the same land block, Action has made another Gilwood light oil discovery. The new oil accumulation is approximately two miles northeast of the first 6-26 discovery well. The 16-36-73-21W5 well encountered a total of 30 feet of oil column having an average porosity of 12% in the pay zone. Completion operations are currently underway with production expected to commence in November. If successful, Action has identified three additional follow-up lower risk development locations to delineate this new discovery.
Action is also pleased to announce a third new pool discovery in the Sylvan Lake area of Central Alberta. The 11-24-38-4W5 Leduc light oil discovery commenced production in October at restricted rates of approximately 75 bopd. Production is currently constrained by third party facilities which are expected to be expanded and optimized as early as November 2007, at which time production rates would be expected to increase materially. The 11-24 well encountered a total of 65 feet of oil column having an average porosity of 10% in the pay zone. Action has a 100% working interest in the new 410 API oil gravity discovery before well cost and facility payout and a net 65% after payout. This Leduc pinnacle reef is the third consecutive new pool the Company has discovered in the Sylvan Lake area. 3-D seismic shows a sizeable reef complex of as many as four additional follow-up locations (65% WI). Combined with the two development locations (15% WI) associated with the 9-15 and 10-14 discoveries, the 11-24 discovery brings a total of six Leduc development locations to the Company drilling inventory.
Action is encouraged by the results of its light oil exploration efforts which further enrich its already large exploitation opportunities. In addition to the low risk infill horizontal heavy oil wells at Lloydminster and shallow gas upsides at Shackleton, this premium priced light oil drilling inventory coupled with the light oil infill locations obtained through the Rolling Thunder acquisition, further diversifies and enhances our existing drilling portfolio.

The platform isn't the greatest, and you have to rely on other sites for your research....but the trades are cheap.
If you have over 50K to start with or make a certain amount of trades (can't remember exactly) E-trade has 9.99/trade flate rate fees. I'm currently looking into this option.
I've heard good things about tradefreedom but I think their fees are a little higher....I might be wrong.

Hello, I'm looking into getting into trading equities in the next few months and am wondering if anyone using the CIBC platform can clarify something for me.
I am considering holding off an application until january so I don't get dinged with the $60+$395 fee and trading package (Edge Advantage) now and then once again when the calendar year starts. Is this indeed how CIBC will do it if I were to register now?
A second question, not really too important, is if CIBC's online registration will go through with any problems. I'm in good shape financially but I'm doing an internship for my degree in Japan so I am a little unsure of if CIBC's online application is strictly only online. I have my license and passport so the photo ID requirement should be fine from this end. Also, I have someone in Canada with the legal power to do my banking and anything I would be able to do, so deposits into the account once it's made would not be a problem either.
Hoping I can get something set up here as I'm a night owl and would be up and about for most of the trading day in north america, haha.
Anyway, thanks for any help / advice and keep on with the good work everyone

Oh, I see. I didn't notice the part about it being prorated, I spent a fair amount today and yesterday looking at my different options and talking to people who have experience with different companies. I decided that for penny stocks CIBC was the most competitive with smaller initial capital, even though I was a skeptic of their platform and now I know what to expect, after reading what people here have said and reviews of the platform from other sources.
I'm curious as to what sources you tend to use for market news other than scouring the typical general online-newspaper type sources. I'm talking about resource such as newratings.com, marketwire.com, and sites of that type.
Thanks a lot for your fast reply and I'll see how the application goes in the near future. :)...
