Its our sister company and I wanted in on a good trust company. They are currently offering .24/unit plus a great re-investment deal for unit holders. It may go down a little more, I might have jumped the gun a little but the upside is very good. I'm getting a solid 15% return on my investment even if the price drops.

Another down day. I think we're at 5 days in row now. Looks like this may be a good buying opportunity.

What's everyone got on the watchlist?

I picked up some UTS at the close today. Support is at $6.19. Hopefully it holds and we get a bounce tomorrow.

I wish you had that feeling 5 days ago.

Oils stocks fluctuate with the price of oil. We just need some good international news to get some people scared about oil shortages and we'll be good to go...

The U.S. is due to invade a country isn't it? :D

haha yah 5 days ago wouldve been better

but im saying this today so 5 days from now i wont be saying "I wish i wouldve said/done it 10 days ago"

haha im selling a couple of my oil/energy/metals holdings...hanging on to the rest until a rebound comes around and i actually make something on them. Ill take my profits for now and wait until the market stabilizes a bit.

In a way i think oils going to have a good run up in the next couple of months. They are saying we are going to need less oil during this time period cuz less is needing for heating and what not and its that time of the year when production slows down due to wet and muddy conditions at the rigs. So if we get hit with a normal canadian winter -30 with 4 feet of snow or more and the production of oil is low...oil should have a good rally. Just my simple thought nothing to get excited over haha.

ohh yah forgot to mention if anyone sees this before market opening today
SLW silver wheaton should have an amazing day they anounced that their fourth quarter earnings quadroupled...which is pretty damn good
And seeing as how they went down in yesterdays market it makes it an even better buy even for a quick one day return
i wish i had some money to load the truck. :(

I think Encana has bottomed out now so I just took the plunge at $46.55.

I hear that Antrim Energy (AEN on the TSX) is about to be on the move. An i-banker friend of mine is apparently working on a deal for them.

wle.to , not a penny stock. imo its a good buy right now around 15-16$. year end results expected end of first week of march and they should be good of course so hopefully there is a price jump too. buy at your own discretion though. during jan it got lots of press on robtv, cramer etc too for those who care about those shows.

i think western lakota has had its run ...i dont see too much growth in that stock...the chart looks too good to be true and now that its got a nice big slope the other way it looks like its going to either stay that way or just even out.

but i cant say the same for BLE nice return today again and theres still more to come. Im not pumping this stock btw im giving an excellent pick...dont believe look at the chart :D

theres more to stocks than looking at charts, but suit yourself LOL.

fyi a lot of OG stocks had a drop the same time as wle.to last week (at least the ones i was watching :dunno: ). including trinidad drilling, which has a similar "slope" on their "chart" and is a competitor. i don't like giving advice though because there is always a chance of it going either way, its just something for you folks to look at....

Well this is how I look at it, it traded as high a $1.55...as long as good results are on the way, it will get back to that point eventually. You can't predict whether or not it will go lower but based on the short history it has, I would say its a good buy :)

yah im glad i held on to BLE...wish i had more but im good with whatever profit im making with it still has lots of room to grow.
AUA is doing very well as well but i dont see it growing as big as BLE just my opinion but others are saying they will see 3-4 dollars when they begin drilling in the next few months.

I just bought into uts as well dont care that i got it at a pretty high price its still has a long ways to go plus its a good long term investment.

1 10 0.900 1.130 15 1

1 10 0.760 1.200 100 1
1 50 0.750 1.220 42 1

I did it and now the chart says that...but 0 for Board Lots...what does that mean?

You definately want to use a limit order here. A market order would instantly fill your order at $1.10 so you want to place a limit order for $0.92 so your order is the highest current bid.

You may have to pay a slightly higher commission for this order depending on your brokerage but it is worth it in most cases.

What's a board lot?

Board Lot is just like bid size / ask size. It can vary depending on exchange.

TSX is:

Security selling price Board lot size
$0.005 to $0.095 1,000 shares
$0.10 to $0.995 500 shares
more than $1.00 100 shares

So if there is a board lot size of 2 with an ask price of $0.91 then there are currently 1000 shares available at that price. There are ways of masking this as well though (iceberg)

woohoo...

CALGARY, Feb. 23 /CNW/ - In order to comply with National Instrument
51-101, UTS Energy Corporation ("UTS") retained independent reserves
evaluators GLJ Petroleum Consultants Ltd. ("GLJ"), to conduct an independent
evaluation of UTS' interests in the Fort Hills oil sands leases 5, 8 and 52.
The report was prepared by GLJ for UTS on behalf of UTS in order to meet its
annual securities reporting requirements.
GLJ's "best estimate" of contingent recoverable bitumen resources
associated with the Fort Hills Project (the "Project") as of December 31, 2005
is 3.5 billion barrels compared to the best estimate of 2.4 billion barrels in
December 31, 2004. UTS has a 30% working interest in the Project and therefore
its corresponding proportion of contingent bitumen resources is estimated to
be 1.05 billion barrels, up from 0.72 billion barrels.

GLJ's results are summarized as follows: Bitumen Resources

December 2004 December 2005 Change
billion barrels billion barrels

Low Estimate 0.73 2.4 229%
Best Estimate 2.4 3.5 46%
High Estimate 3.0 4.6 53%

It should be noted that GLJ considers the marketable product from the
Project to be synthetic oil, and has prepared contingent resource estimates on
that basis. The December 31, 2005 recoverable bitumen estimates presented
above are provided for comparison purposes only, and require upgrading to
produce a marketable product.
The Low Estimate considers a portion of the existing mine plan, while the
High Estimate recognizes a 50% increase in the amount of bitumen feed to the
extraction facilities under a potential revised mine planning basis. The 50%
increase in volume reflects an approximation of the type of increase that the
Project would realize by increasing the total volume of material moved to
bitumen in-place (TV:BIP) component of the current regulatory operating
criteria from 12 to 16. As such, the 2005 report was not based on new
technical data, but rather a reassessment of the previous data in a different
commercial climate. The existing mine plan, which was developed in 2001-2002
by TrueNorth Energy Corporation, estimated the contingent resource to be
2.8 billion barrels. This plan was predicated on an oil price of $20 - $22 US
WTI. Accordingly, an updated mine plan is currently being developed by the
Fort Hills Partnership, with input from Teck Cominco Limited, which may well
result in further increases to the contingent resource. This plan will be
completed in the second quarter of 2006.
"Directionally, this increase was anticipated and is predominantly driven
by higher oil prices allowing the Project to mine additional resources
economically," said Dr. William Roach, President and Chief Executive Officer.
"It also should be noted that these estimates anticipate a - 2 - 30 revised
mine plan that is currently being prepared. Moreover, we believe the revised
mine plan may result in recoverable volume estimates greater than the
estimates given in the 2005 GLJ report subject to any additional required
regulatory approvals."
The Fort Hills Project is held by UTS with a 30% working interest, Teck
Cominco Limited with a 15% working interest and Petro-Canada with a
55% working interest and operatorship.
UTS Energy Corporation is based in Calgary, Alberta. The Company's common
shares (UTS) are traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Yeah that was nice this morning. Never got taken out but we seen alot of shares trade today for this stock.

Looks like the results on the last 3 wells must have been good. No other reason to explain this IMO. I like the results from the first for a junior but I'm thinking these are going to be even better.
