How many pairs is "a lot" to your wife? Curious what people think is "a lot".

Anything more than 4 pairs of footwear total is a lot to my wife. I don't even know how many pairs of shoes I own. None are "sneakerhead" shoes, I was just trolling. I wear shitty asics day-to-day until they wear through the heel and then I buy another of whatever asics are one clearance.
Under 12 pairs, including winter boots and sandals for summer.

I don't understand this world but if it's not a 'hype release' then wouldn't anyone themselves be able to get the shoe at retail? Why need a middle person then? Presumably only the 'hype releases' end up being hard to get and marked up? Like Yeezy's (only one I know of as hype).

It's not that simple.Theres lots of releases with minimal mark up best suited to sell locally vs stockx or other online places that take a cut of the sale. Bots just simplify your purchase on these ones. Then there's releases everyone will go for that you won't hit without a bot and then the hype ones that experienced botters may not even hit.

Ya I have zero issues copping anything that’s not hyped. I think the only Jordan’s that were difficult this year were the AMM4s and the Lost and Founds. Had no interest from kids on the 4s, and was still able to get preschool in lost and founds. Couldn’t get a pair for my teenager.

I ended up with 20+ lost n founds in larger sizes. Sold em all(except one) the day they arrived.

I also had some sick Nike all-black high tops, that were truly fucking awful to play basketball in. They looked wicked, but had zero cushioning and were not even slightly comfortable.
