Did we watch the same video? Yes, the full video. Spoiler: He drove there and fell asleep in the drive thru. Ran over a curb trying to park in a simple parking spot. And then goes on to argue about whether or not he was driving. Sure sounds like a guy who deserves a break. Add to that his criminal history. From the videos the cops were incredibly calm, polite, and subdued. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
To your reply (I still cant figure out if you are being sarcastic or not) de-escalating a situation means not enforcing it? So why even have cops if they don't enforce laws? Anyone who disagrees with a speeding ticket should just be let off on a warning? I don't understand the logic here.
Also, what happened to personal responsibility? Why is all of the blame on the police when this guy should have just complied with a apparently lawful arrest?
Edit: Just saw your reply. Unfortunately, how you initially perceived the situation is pretty much how the rest of people perceived it. Protests already on the way. All thanks to the media narrative. The damage is done no matter the outcome.
